About Me
I'm a software developer in London, working mostly on the web.
Outside work I build and maintain open-source tools, mostly npm packages and command-line utilities. This site is where I write about that, and whatever else seems worth sharing.
Experience
By day I'm a Senior Software Developer at Trayport in London, across their React frontends and C# backends.
Before that I built web-based mobile apps in the commerce sector with Java Spring and Angular. My degree was in games development, so there's some Unity and OpenGL back there too.

Where and how am I hosting my projects in 2024?
Now that 2024 is firmly underway, I thought I'd reflect on where and how I host (and deliver) my more modern projects and what I foresee going forward.
A Surprisingly Important use for Reverse Flex Directions
Until now, I'd never found a good use for the flex-direction: column-reverse CSS values. I always felt it was odd that you would want to declare your markup in a specific order, only to have your users see it completely the opposite way around. Yet there's at least one use for it that can actually help to make your content more accessible.
